Hal.dll file missing problem
well, we all know that computers are so complicated. sometimes they give us errors that we dont know what we did why we have this problem especially if you still have lots of important files that you were not able to save on a cd, diskette, memory key... others would do the clean installation of the operating sys which will wipre out everything. you can try this one for missing hal.dll file
1.Insert and boot from your WindowsXP CD.
2.At the first R=Repair option, press the R key
3.Press the number that corresponds to the correct location for the installation of Windows you want to repair.
Typically this will be #1
4.Type bootcfg /list to show the current entries in the BOOT.INI file
5.Type bootcfg /rebuild to repair it
6.Type exit and take out the CD ROM
no boot file
hope this is helpful... :)
